The Things We Learn From Philippines. 4:06 PM

o1. ‘On the way’ usually means ‘I’m almost done but I can’t be bothered to finish any quicker’.

o2. ‘Almost finished’ means half an hour more.

o3. Do NOT wear heels if you’re going to any huge ass malls like SM, MOA, Megamall etc.

o4. Always bring a hanky/bandana with you if you’re going to the city, lest you die of inhaling way too much dust and/or smoke because;

o5. The city is WAY too polluted for its own good.

o6. Riding the LRT is fun.

o7. Do sit at the end of the jeep; you get a quick getaway especially if there’s a holdup although.

o8. Contrary to the above, do NOT sit at the very end of the jeepney if it’s a long drive on a bumpy road, unless you want to suffer from mild nausea later on. Depends on what kinds of person you are, really, if are such who can take feeling queasy as a consequence, then please, do sit at the end.

o9. Riding the jeep is fun, especially when you get the wind in your face…except when it’s all polluted.

10. The Philippines is ASS HUGE. Yes, I know that now.

11. Filipinos will do anything to advertize their products, including spending millions just to show you their tiresome commercials at least 3 times at every commercial break (honestly, I think I can recite any Philippine brand’s commercial now if you ask due to LONG ads on TV).

12. More time is spent on commercial breaks rather than the show you’re inclined to be watching. For a one hour show, you only watch for half an hour and commercials take the other 40 minutes.

13. When sales ladies go up to you and ask what you want, never say ‘just looking around’. They give me dirty looks whenever I say that.

14. Having ubër cool cousins makes up for the cramped space.

15. ALWAYS hold on when riding the LRT, lest you fall flat on your face to your own embarrassment.

16. Billboards will guide your way home.

17. Beware of men with earphones plugged, clutching their bags and muttering incoherently while rocking back and forth :S

18. There is no point in watching TV shows since commercial breaks pop up in less than 5 minutes into said show.

19. The food is way better here.

20. Everything is different, the sky, the buildings, the people…the SMELL.

and

21. You WILL miss the place.
